This online webinar will be offered by AFA May 11th, it is also free of charge to the public.  This webinar’s topic is all about understanding the journey of grief and loss related to Alzheimer’s disease. As many caregivers already know, providing for the needs of a person with Alzheimer’s disease takes much of their time, energy and attention. Caregivers may not take the time needed to properly care for themselves and end up with feelings of grief and loss over many aspects of their own lives.  This webinar will focus on these losses, as well as various types of grief and methods of coping.

The AFA’s website describes the speaker for this event as follows:

“Diane P. Brennan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), specializing in grief and loss. She focuses on facilitating personal growth through compassionate care, emotional support and education. She has been featured in the documentary, The Secret Map of Surviving Loss, a film that tells the story of five individuals and their personal journey through loss. Diane holds a B.S from Marist College in Business Finance and an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University.”
